Rubber Bracelets Are Making Their Way Into Corporate America to Promote Company Ideals.

Silicone wristbands have become the most popular way today to defend a cause or to promote a message. The Lance Armstrong Foundation started the silicone wristband craze with the first silicone wristbands that were sold for $1 each to raise funds for cancer research. The slogan stamped on these silicone wristbands is “LiveStrong”.

At present, a lot of non-profit organizations have chosen to follow in their path. Pink silicone wristbands are sold to promote breast cancer consciousness. Patriotic silicone wristbands are colored with red, white and blue. Schools can choose silicone wristbands stamped with the school slogan or school name in the school colors.

Silicone wristbands may not even promote a single cause, but are used by some to promote a philosophy or way of life. Teenagers may have identical wristbands that say “Best Friends Forever”. Families of military personal can wear silicone wristbands with the slogan “Support Our Troops”. Church youth groups can promote their faith with slogans like “Faith”, “Believe”, “Hope” or “Strength”.
